“At a certain time, late 70s and early 80s, X were simply it for me. They represented what little I believed in about Los Angeles, and they were the most passionate band in the world. I left that city over 30 years ago and have never looked back, but X can still make me miss it somehow. They never registered in England; Sounds was the only music weekly that would give them the time of day, and they haven’t returned since the 90s.
